Well it's my first time to sunny Florida.
And I'm not really sure what to do!
Like last year's trip to Vegas, my husband and I have stolen a few days away. He's attending a conference during the day but we'll have the evenings together. So while it's conference time for him, it's definitely vacation in Florida for me! Yesterday, we attended Liturgy at a church in Dover, Florida and spent most of the day with a lovely family - actually the family of my son's girlfriend.
From there we traveled to the Gulf and made it to see the sunset at Clearwater Beach. The water was so warm! Oh, so heavenly. I can not help but marvel at God's creation while standing on the shores.
This morning he is off to his conference leaving me on my own until around 5.... alone.... well, that hasn't happened for...well a year I guess! At least not for this length of time for this many days in a row. Nope- that hasn't happened since Vegas.... nothing came unglued there and I'm pretty sure things will stay rather peaceful this time as well- nothing for me to do but read, write, lounge by the pool or .... ?? maybe take a nap? We shall see!
But I'm looking forward to definitely catching up on the reading and writing and the quiet evenings together. We're NOT Disney people so we'll be staying away from the big theme parks. I do sort of hope to see an alligator or two 😉 In the meantime, I love seeing the pretty flowers that remind me of springtime at home and the birds! Oh, the birds!! Sorry.... didn't get any shots of them yet, but maybe tonight! Off to the pool with books in tow!
